Sarah Jane helped me cope
Helping people comes naturally to Sarah Jane of the Ruby Rose healing sanctuary based at Invershin.
"Doing this work you need to have a big heart and be filled with love and have an overwhelming need to help people if it's a new you will find a way out," she commented.
As it did with her. For many years now she has provided spiritual healing , Reiki and crystal healing for both people and animals.
"Some people come for healing as it can help with all sorts of conditions, physical and mental problems. For others it acts as a tonic. Some people are dying and it helps take the fear away and relieves the pain."
For Jennifer Andrews of Durness, the healing she has received from Sarah Jane has supported her through serious illness.
"I have been going to Sarah Jane for around 12 years," she recalled. "When I moved up to the Highlands 14 years ago, I had chronic fatigue syndrome. By chance I came across Sarah Jane. From that first healing I began getting better. I wasn't sure what to expect at first but the healings were always warm and very relaxing. Sarah Jane made me feel comfortable and it felt like I was being straightened out somehow.
"Recently I was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. She has been extremely helpful. The first healing after I found out about the cancer was very different to what I had ever experienced before. It was very cold like icicles.
"Sometimes Sarah Jane could pinpoint things about my condition she couldn't possibly have known. For example, she told me that my teeth were being affected She has no medical knowledge and she wasn't looking into my mouth during the treatment. I mentioned it to my GP and when he had to look, he confirmed that she was right."
Jennifer continued: "I had two week-long sessions of chemotherapy in hospital. Before I went in I went to Sarah Jane for healing. I slept so well afterwards. She also visited me in hospital and helped me relax.
"Her healing has helped me cope with all I had to go through and has made me feel very positive about the future."
